Here and here is Allen on the Apology. I am going to reverse the order from the Syllabus, and ask that you read the sections on Background, Legality and Historicity for Monday (Discussion) We will read the essay on Irony and Rhetoric for Wednesday (Informal Lecture). For Friday, be prepared for Discussion of the Irony and Rhetoric paper and any other issues connected to the Apology.
We will begin the Crito on Wednesday, 1/22 (Informal Lecture). I will post it soon.
